Der fachsprachliche Kurs "English for Physics" wurde im Auftrag der Fakultät für Physik am Sprachenzentrum entwickelt und wird jedes Semester angeboten. Der Präsenzunterricht wird ergänzt und vertieft durch Materialien für das autonome Lernen der Sprache auf der Lernplattform "Moodle".
Kursbeschreibung
This course aims to increase your ability to communicate more effectively and confidently within the international physics community.
Course contents
- Physics and the world around us, inside us and beyond us
- Er, well, um: small talk and networking in an academic context
- Working in the lab: equipment and procedures
- The lab report: grammar and syntax in technical/scientific writing
- Popular physics: reading about and discussing physics in the news
- Current topics in physics: planning and delivering an informative talk with a written component
This course aims to increase your ability to communicate more effectively and confidently within the international physics community.
